Global Alloys Leader Brush Wellman Honored with 2005 Customer Liaison Award from EC/EDI, Ltd.

CLEVELAND, OH (January 19, 2006) – Brush Wellman Engineered Materials’ IT staff was recently recognized for their role in earning the 2005 Customer Liaison Award from Twinsburg-based EC/EDI, Ltd, the world’s largest provider of outsourced EDI solutions.

Brush Wellman’s expertise in the use of beryllium and its alloys has secured profitable government contracts to produce beryllium, a very strong, lightweight metal with applications in electronics, defense systems, and mechanical components. Under their most recent contract, awarded by the Department of Defense, Brush Wellman will help design and build a plant to produce beryllium.

From its headquarters in Cleveland , Ohio , Brush Wellman has grown to be a global leader in beryllium materials and high performance alloys. Brush Wellman has satellite offices and manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, and the US .
